At Yago School Málaga, official external examinations are an essential part of our international educational approach. We prepare our students for globally recognised certifications in English, French, Mandarin Chinese and Music (ABRSM), enabling them to officially accredit their language and artistic skills, strengthen their academic profile and access international educational opportunities.
The official English certification programme is a key pillar of our international educational project. We are a preparation centre for University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations, whose qualifications are recognised worldwide as an objective guarantee of English language proficiency and are accepted by universities and institutions across the globe.
Each year, more than three million candidates sit Cambridge exams, whose certificates provide lifelong, internationally recognised proof of language competence.

Music education is an essential part of our educational project. All students receive two weekly music modules: one focused on music theory and the other on piano, ensuring a solid, structured and progressive musical education from the earliest stages.
From PYP 5 (Year 2 Primary) onwards, students may also take part in the school choir, encouraging artistic expression, teamwork and confidence in performance.
Each academic year, a large number of our students sit the official exams of ABRSM (Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music), one of the most prestigious and internationally recognised music certifications. Official examiners travel from London to the school twice a year, allowing students to take their exams in a familiar and secure environment.
We promote language learning as a key tool for our students’ academic and personal development. Based on teachers’ recommendations, students sit the official DELF–DALF French language examinations each year, issued by the Alliance Française.
The DELF (Diplôme d’Études en Langue Française) and DALF (Diplôme Approfondi de Langue Française) are official qualifications awarded by the French Ministry of Education. They are internationally recognised and highly valued by universities and educational institutions worldwide.
These certifications objectively assess a student’s ability to communicate in French in academic, professional and personal contexts. The exams evaluate the four core language skills in a balanced way (listening, reading, speaking and writing) and follow the levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR):
Mandarin Chinese forms part of our commitment to a truly international education. As a third language, students learn Mandarin with native teachers, combining language development with genuine cultural immersion, fostering curiosity and motivation towards a key global language.
We prepare students for the official YCT and HSK Chinese language qualifications, integrating exam preparation progressively and in line with each educational stage, always following international standards.
