Private school Málaga

Welcome

We are a private, multilingual, and international school located in Miraflores del Palo, Málaga. Our secular and coeducational educational approach combines tradition with innovation. We provide high-quality education from Early Years to Baccalaureate (ages 3 to 18), preparing our students both for university entry and for successfully facing the challenges of a constantly evolving world.

We currently follow the Spanish curriculum, complemented by the International Baccalaureate (IB) methodology. As an IB candidate school*, we aim to integrate the Spanish  curriculum to expand our students’ academic and professional opportunities. Our commitment is to deliver excellence in education, fostering lifelong learning with a clear international outlook that opens the doors to the world’s top universities.

Our educational approach is based on strong values that promote the holistic development of our students. We believe that knowledge must go hand in hand with a humanistic education, rooted in essential principles such as respect, discipline, effort, autonomy, tolerance, responsibility, friendship, and solidarity. Our goal is to nurture not only outstanding students but also well-rounded individuals prepared for the challenges of adult life.

We stand out for the high level of English proficiency our students achieve, alongside an advanced level of Chinese or French as a second foreign language, key skills in today’s globalised world.

We also have a Boarding Home, providing a unique opportunity for students from around the world to enjoy an enriching experience in a multicultural environment, equipping them for a diverse and global future.

Yago School Málaga is a candidate school* for both the Middle Years Programme (MYP) and the Diploma Programme (DP), and is pursuing authorisation to become an IB World School. These are schools that share a common philosophy: a commitment to a rigorous and high-quality international education that Yago School believes is important for its students.

*Only schools authorised by the International Baccalaureate Organisation (IBO) can offer any of its four academic programmes: the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP), the Diploma Programme (DP), or the Career-related Programme (CP). Candidate status gives no guarantee that authorisation will be granted. For more information about the IB and its programmes, please visit  http://www.ibo.org/.

School Structure

"In order to become bilingual, it is very important to take advantage of the learning stage".

In the infant stage we offer an educational project that aims to allow children to develop their skills at an early age in a creative and stimulating environment. We implement innovative methodologies through international education.

We have designed an International Education Project in Primary with where the objective is for students to have a comprehensive, differentiated and excellent education using a variety of methodologies, programs and educational and cultural aspects, sports, art, humanitarian, environmental and recreational activities.

The Secondary Education Project meets the needs of students at a key stage of their lives, their adolescent years. In Secondary we reinforce their education in values from four different dimensions: civic, ethical, environmental and solidarity, offering an authentic international education.

We offer a full Baccalaureate programme, with both university and career guidance, opening doors to the future for all our students. Our approach enables students not only to improve personally and academically, but also to prepare for international academic and professional challenges, providing them with a significant competitive edge in their future development.

Yago School

Why Yago School?

Five aspects make us unique in our way of understanding international education:

Methodology

Our educational project is based on the following educational principles: traditional values, multilingualism, science and technology, music and art, sport and a prestigious curriculum. Six foundations which, together with a demanding academic preparation, ensure that our students are well prepared for their personal and professional lives.

Innovation

The spirit of innovation is an essential part of our School. We seek to stimulate creativity in each of our students and teachers in our classrooms. We encourage applied research and continuous professional development of our teachers by collaborating with the technology industry as an essential part of our educational project.

Wellbeing and Safeguarding

Our School has a Wellbeing and Safeguarding program, offering a safe, welcoming and motivating environment that allows our students to learn, grow as people and be happy.
Children who feel valued, listened to and supported are encouraged to reach their academic and personal potential.
By committing to Safeguarding and Child Protection as a key priority, we ensure that we continue to build a strong “Culture of Care” in our school. This allows us to turn policy into practice in a measured, tangible and balanced way.

"We have all the necessary ingredients to successfully educate all our students by providing them with the highest quality education in English and Spanish and helping them with values".

Creativity

At Yago School we encourage our students to express themselves creatively through music and art using different techniques. This encourages them to develop their senses, perception and fosters personal initiative and stimulates their imagination, favouring their way of expressing themselves.

Nutrition

For our School, healthy habits are as important as the academic performance of our students. A healthy and balanced diet together with the practice of their favourite sports helps their physical and emotional development, as well as improving their personal and professional growth. It is extremely important to offer our students an excellent quality diet, which is adapted to the stage of growth they are going through and to the needs of each student, which is why a wide variety of food is present in their daily menu.
